Students by day, demon hunters by night!

By night, teenager Yoshimori Sumimura is a "kekkaishi"--a demon-hunter who specializes in creating magical barriers around his prey. By day, Yoshimori's got other demons to battle: an addiction to sweets and a seriously crotchety grandfather! Yoshimori's pretty neighbor and childhood friend, Tokine Yukimura, is also a kekkaishi, but their families are feuding over who is the true practitioner of the art.

As the battle to save Karasumori and reclaim the Shadow Organization continues, Tokine attempts to convince the guardian deity Mahora to hand over her precious land—while dodging her deadly attacks. Fortunately Tokine has lately learned a neat little trick that may help her survive...

Meanwhile, Masamori and his troops face off with Nichinaga, the Supreme Leader of the Shadow Organization, in an attempt to take back the institution and use its power for good rather than evil.
